University studies differ from studies in high school, folk high school, and municipal adult education, in several ways. There is usually a larger bulk of course literature, and students are expected to take a greater individual responsibility. As an SLU student, you might have to find new ways of studying.

It is really important to keep in mind that nobody knows everything from the start; learning to study is a process, and you alone can know what is right for you. There is no “correct” way; do not hesitate to abandon a method if you find it doesn’t work for you.

So, it is important to play it by ear, and in the modules below, you will find suggestions of how to study in a smart/er manner. Click on the captions, or on the link Modules in the left-hand margin, to get to these modules:

Distance learning

Are you a distance student? Then it might be extra urgent to find good study routines, in order to make your study week work. In this module we have listed some suggestions of routines to keep in mind, when you study from home.
