Gerative AI is a programme that creates, i.e. generates, new content such as text, images, speech or video. To create content, you write a prompt. You do this by formulating a question or instruction using ordinary words and sentences. The more details you include in your prompt, the more likely the AI will create content that matches your idea

Risks and limitations

A common issue with generative AI tools is hallucination. When an AI hallucinates, it invents content that doesn’t reflect reality. This might include incorrect factual claims or references to scientific articles that do not actually exist. You are responsible for assessing and evaluating what the AI generates to determine whether it can be used. Thinking critically and double-checking facts is especially important when working with generative AI.
